The Canadian Trent Center for Aging & Society is an interdisciplinary research center in the field of aGING sTUDIES and was developed by the sociologist and affiliated researcher of the Age and Care Research Group, Prof. Dr. Stephen Katz, founder of the "Stephen Katz Distinguished Visiting Scholar" Award. Assoz.-Prof. Dr. Ulla Kriebernegg was the first researcher to become "Inaugural Stephen Katz Distinguished Visiting Scholar" in October 2019 and was invited to give a lecture on The Old King in His Exile, in which she looked at it from gerontological and cultural and literary perspectives using Arno Geiger's novel. Kriebernegg was on the executive committee of the TrentAging2019 conference in May 2019, and held an online seminar as an expert in the seminar series in the area of aging studies in Trent in January 2020. In 2018 the publication Care Home Stories was published, which together with the current TCAS director Prof. Dr. Sally Chivers, also an affiliate researcher of the Age and Care Research Group Graz, was published.
