NEW Chapter Joint Degree English and American Studies

The kick-off event to establish the new International Chapter of alumni UNI graz for students and graduates of the European Joint Master’s Degree in English and American Studies, which was initiated by Roberta Maierhofer, was held on Thursday, 4 October in the Uni Café.

The establishment of this chapter is a new departure for our Alumni Association in that it will build on the existing close cooperation between the international partner universities which make up the consortium of the Joint degree programme.

Graz is the organising university and initiator of the programme. The members of the consortium are as follows:
•    University of Graz
•    University of Bamberg
•    Ca’Foscari University Venice
•    Université Paris VII – Denis Diderot
•    Jagiellonian University Kraków
•    The City College of the City University of New York
•    University of Pécs
•    Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

The European Joint Master’s programme admitted its first students in 2007, and since then has developed into a successful programme which has attracted students from 38 countries. To date, 111 students have graduated from the programme. This new Alumni chapter aims to provide a platform for the growing number of students and graduates of this programme.
For more information about the programme, see www.jointdegree.eu
