“POP! and Wisdom—Bridging Philosophy and American Studies in Interdisciplinary Comics Studies”

Jeff McLaughlin was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada  – A place that is famous for many things including being one of the five coldest cities on Earth, Winnipeg named one of the coldest cities on the planet, and where Winnie the Pooh got his name.  Jeff is a full professor of philosophy at Thompson Rivers University where he teaches a very diverse collection of courses – from the standard “critical thinking” and applied ethics courses to the more fun “philosophy and popular culture” to the extremely serious: Holocaust studies.

A guest lecture of the Institute of American Studies, organized by Dr.phil. Marie Dücker, BA MA B.Ed.
