Job Announcement

Student Assistant (STUMAL + Tutorium) for 19s

Studentische MitarbeiterIn in der Lehre (STUMAL)

6 hrs. / week – summer term 2019, may be renewed
Reference Number: 19s/STUMAL+Tutorium

American Studies Graz is seeking applications from M.A. and Lehramt students in Anglistik/Amerikanistik interested in working as a student assistant (6hrs./week). Depending on availability, the contract might be renewed to include the next term.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Teaching the “Tutorium zur Fachprüfung II Amerikanische Literatur” (1 SSt)
  • Teaching assistance (such as help preparing study materials, research on academic databases, maintaining moodle platforms, exam proctoring)
  • Organizational work for the department

Qualifications

  • Highly qualified M.A. and Lehramt students in Anglistik/Amerikanistik with a strong focus on American Literature
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Completion of the “Survey of American Literary History” and at least one more course in literary studies
  • Successful completion of “Fachprüfung II Amerikanische Literatur”
