Scott Zukowski, Ph.D., a PostDoc in the Institute of American Studies, has been awarded a 2022-23 Samuel H. Kress Foundation Teaching Fellowship with the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Art in Washington, DC. The Smithsonian is the United States’ premier museum, education, and research complex, and its Archives of American Art is the country’s foremost research center dedicated to collecting, preserving, and providing access to primary sources that document the history of the visual arts in America.
This distinguished fellowship will give Dr. Zukowski intensive training with world experts in teaching with primary resources including visual art, oral histories, and handwritten materials. Dr. Zukowski is excited to use the fellowship to further strengthen his pedagogical effectiveness and to plan new, innovative courses and lessons at the Institute of American Studies.
